Smart Phone baru kini telah hadir di Indonesia. Research in Motion (RIM) telah meluncurkan BlackBerry Torch di Indonesia. BlackBerry Torch merupakan smartphone pertama yang berdesain slyde dan menggugunakan OS BlackBerry versi 6.0.

Indonesia boleh berbanggga karena merupakan negara pertama di Asia Pasific yang menjadi tempat peluncuran. Hal ini dikarenakan pasar Indonesia masih sangat menjanjikan. Masyarakat Indonesia yang haus akan informasi dan teknologi dan di barenginya dengan demam social media seperti Facebook, Twitter, Koprol dan sebagainya menjadi alasan kenapa RIM meluncurkan produk barunya ini di Indonesia.
BlackBerry Torch memiliki layar sentuh berukuran 3,2 inci yang di dukung dengan keyboard virtual. Hal ini memudahkan pengguna untuk melakukan navigasi, bermain game, mengedit fil atau mencari foto.

Walaupun sudah dilengkapi dengan keyboard virtual, BlackBerry Torch juga dilengkapi dengan keyboard qwerty yang sudah menjadi ciri khas BlackBerry. Hal ini dimaksudkan untuk memanjakan pengguna dalam menulis teks secara cepat semisal sms ataupun chating.
